I am most grateful to Mr Thomas Satyadas who performed my remarkably successful liver surgery in Manchester Royal Infirmary in January 2019. To increase the chances of successful surgery and enhance recovery, Mr Satyadas was insistent on ensuring that I was as fit as possible prior to surgery following a long period of chemotherapy, I can’t thank him enough as my recovery has been better than I could have ever hoped for. Not only is Mr Satyadas a superb surgeon but he also took a keen interest in my recovery and kept my family up to date both before and after surgery, he was happy to discuss the procedure, answer any questions and generally make himself available. I feel incredibly lucky to have had Mr Satyadas as my surgeon, I couldn’t recommend him enough.

I cannot speak too highly of Dr Thomas Satyadas as regards his professional manner and surgical expertise. The care I received at the BMI Alexandra hospital. Cheadle, Stockport was truly outstanding both before and after my quadruple hernia operation. I was able to go home the same day with little discomfort and did not require pain relief. The only evidence of surgery is a faint one inch scar below my navel. I would like to thank Mr Satyadas and his team once again for looking after me so well and doing such a great job.

Mr Tom Satyadas gave me the confidence that I would be fit enough to come through bowel and liver surgery at my age. Iwould also like to say that Alison Maugham specialist nurse was so reassuring in answering any questions that I asked. The whole time spent at MRI went very well with kind caring staff.

Mr Satyadas performed a Whipple procedure at short notice but ensured that we met before I was admitted for surgery and this reflected the personal and holistic approach that he took not only to me but to my family. After the successful procedure and my discharge from hospital he continued to keep in touch via phone calls and texts in between clinic visits and the latter were always relaxed with no hint of a time limit on the appointment. I was always treated as an individual and never felt like a ‘condition’ or simply a patient and this holistic approach extended to concern not only for my physical welfare after the procedure but also to how well I was coping with the changed conditions and lifestyle necessary during recovery. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Satyadas
